It's easy to apply! Simply follow these steps:
1. Complete the online application form below and submit it for our review. You may submit this application electronically (use submit button at the bottom of form). You will receive an email to let you know whether or not the application was properly received. If there is any problem with electronic submission, print the form and send by FAX at (706)-542-2674, or by mail c/o REU coordinator, University of Georgia, Department of Microbiology, 527 Biological Sciences Building, Athens, GA, 30602.
2. Download a reference form (as a Word document), fill out the the top part, and then have two references, preferably professors, complete the letter of recommendation and return it directly to us at: email@example.com
3. Submit Transcripts - You may e-mail your transcript to firstname.lastname@example.org as long as there is no full or partial SSN visible. If any part of the SSN is visible on the transcript, you must obscure it by marking through it with a marker before scanning. If it is already digital, use an image editing program to obscure it by covering it with a black box or blurring it out. If you send a transcript containing any part of your SSN, you do so at your own peril. If your transcript does contain a full or partial SSN, and you are not able to obscure it, the only option is to mail a hard copy to: REU coordinator, University of Georgia, Department of Microbiology, 527 Biological Sciences Building, Athens, GA, 30602
For full consideration, applications are requested before February 17, 2017.
Participants must be undergraduates (cannot have graduated with a Bachelor's degree before the program begins) who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States or its possessions.
