Before you begin
Login using your UGA MyID and password.
To login, from the home page click For Faculty/Staff then Faculty/Staff Login
Faculty have access to their directory page and lab page, students only have access to their directory page.
The board of reagents have decided all webpages must have:
Alternative text for images
Captioning in any videos with speach
It is recommended you edit all pages using "Text format: Full HTML"
Links can be added by clicking the "Add Link" Button in the editor window.
Images can be uploaded from you computer
To Upload an image, click the IMCE button
Images can be uploaded by clicking "Upload" in the upper left of the IMCE window
Insert an image by double clicking on it
Images must have Alternative Text. This text takes the place of the image if it does not load or can not be seen.
Right click on the image, choose "Image Properties" and fill in the Alternative Text box
Right Click on the Image and choose "Image Properties"
Choose the advanced tab
For StyleSheet Classes add: caption
Type your legend into the "Advisory Title" box.
Images can be resized in the IMCE window
To resize an image, click on the image in the IMCE window, then click resize in the upper left corner of the window
Fill in the width and then press tab to have the height auto calculated
In 3 column pages, images no larger than 515px wide are recommended
In 2 column pages, images no larger than 700px wide are recommended
Click "Add Content" in the upper left of the page.
Choose "Basic Page", this will create a new page.
By default, the page will not be linked to anywhere on the website.
Click "Add Content" in the upper left hand corner
Publications can be entered by hand by choosing the type, or by PubMed ID.
Only add your name to "Department Authors"
Adding a lab will make the publication show up on that lab page.
