Responsibilities: Lecture PLAs assist in a section of MIBO3500 or MIBO2500, and are required to attend all lectures as well as a weekly meeting with the instructor. During class, your role will be to facilitate discussion among small groups of students during active learning components of the lecture, and be available to answer student questions that come up. Assistants will be paid 5 hours/week as Unit-PLAs $11.75/hr, including assigned lecture times, 1 hour prep meeting, and 1 additional hour of outside of class personal preparation time. Eligibility: To be a PLA for MIBO3500 or MIBO2500, you need to have completed the same course with a B or higher, and have a GPA of at least 3.25, and be available to attend all lectures during the entire semester. PLAs will need to take UNIV1204 - Preparing for Peer Learning or an equivalent course prior to or during their position.
