Microbiology Students Receive Travel Awards to Study Abroad

Congratulations to Alexandra Howell and Laurel Hire for being selected to receive Office of International Education (OIE) Education Abroad Scholarships to participate in study abroad programs this summer! Laurel is a senior pre-veterinarian student majoring in Microbiology and Biology.  She will be participating in the Summer 2013 UGA Discover Abroad: Maymester 2013 in Australia and New Zealand. Alexandra is a junior pre-dental student majoring in Microbiology with a Spanish minor.  She will be participating in the Summer 2013 UGA in España: Peru Medical Maymester in Peru.  UGA and the UGA Foundation provide funding to the Office of International Education for the study abroad scholarships.
