Responsibilities: Peer learning Assistants are supported through the DAE for Dr. Grainy's large enrollment section of MIBO3500, and are required to attend all lectures (MWF 10:20-11:10). You will also need to register for the 1 credit UNIV 1204 pedagogy course, and attend a weekly meeting with Dr. Grainy. During class, your role will be to facilitate discussion among small groups of students during active learning components of the lecture, and be available to answer student questions that come up. Eligibility: To be a DAE PLA for Dr. Grainy's Fall MIBO3500 course, you need to have completed MIBO3500 with a B or higher, and have a GPA of at least 3.25, be available to attend all MWF lectures 10:20-11:10 during the entire Fall semester.Selection: Your application will be reviewed by the DAE PLA program first, followed by an interview. Dr. Grainy will rank PLA applicants and then the DAE will assign each hired PLA to a course.
