The Department of Microbiology is proud to announce that PhD Candidate, Alyssa Baugh of the Neidle Lab has been selected as a 2020-2021 ARCS Foundation Fellow.

"I’m excited to join a community of scholars –  not just at UGA but nationwide – dedicated to doing meaningful research and committed to scientific outreach and communication. Now more than ever, it’s important to break down the barrier between “the academy” and our communities. Everyone on earth has a stake in pressing dangers we’re solving using science, from climate change to global pandemics, and the more we can increase scientific literacy, the better equipped we’ll be to face these threats together."
