Microbiology Graduation Ceremony
Each spring and fall semester the department recognizes our graduating Microbiology seniors. Microbiology undergraduates planning on graduating in the summer semester are invited to participate in the spring ceremony, which is held in the afternoon of the day of the spring semester Commencement. Friends and family of graduating seniors are invited to attend the ceremony which will begin with an informal reception where students’ families can meet faculty and staff of the Microbiology department. The format of the ceremony consists of opening remarks and introductions, some light-hearted entertainment, a brief talk by a distinguished alumnus, and individual recognition of the scholastic and personal achievements of each student in attendance. Students interested in participating in the ceremony must fill out a form sent via a link on the Microbiology Undergraduate listserv (if you are not on the listserv, please contact email@example.com . Students must also complete the exit questionnaire sent to their UGA email.
